Haryana Education Minister, Seema Trikha assured that vacant academic and non-academic posts in the state's colleges and universities will be expeditiously filled. The Education Minister gave this assurance during a meeting with the delegation of "Welfare Association of Management of Private Aided Colleges" that had come to meet her.
The delegation was also accompanied by MLA Kaithal Sh Leela Ram, Association President former MLA Sh Tejveer Singh and General Secretary Sardar A.S. Oberoi. The "Welfare Association of Management of Private Aided Colleges" demanded the Education Minister that permission be given to fill the vacant academic and non-academic sanctioned posts in the government aided colleges of the state so that the studies of the students do not hamper.
The delegation apprised the Minister that a letter was sent by the Director, Higher Education Department to all the Government Aided Private Colleges of the state in December 2023, instructing them not to recruit academic and non-academic staff till further orders, adversely affecting students' academic progress.
Previous permissions for recruitment had also been rescinded, exacerbating the situation. Assuring the delegation of prompt action, the Education Minister said that she would get the mater reviewed comprehensively and take necessary steps to resolve the same.
She underscored that the state government is actively fostering self-reliance among youth through transformative reforms in higher education. Notably, Haryana has witnessed a substantial increase in Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) over the past seven years across its colleges and universities.
Currently, Haryana's GER stands at 32 per cent, with female GER at 34.8 per cent, as per the All India Survey Report 2020-21, surpassing the national averages of 27.5 per cent and 27.8 per cent respectively. The state aims to achieve a GER of 50 per cent by 2025, the Minister added.

हरियाणा की शिक्षा मंत्री सीमा त्रिखा ने बताया कि प्रदेश की उच्चतर शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए राज्य सरकार प्रयासरत है। प्रदेश के महाविद्यालयों और विश्वविद्यालयों में शैक्षणिक तथा गैर - शैक्षणिक क्षेत्र के रिक्त पदों को जल्द भरा जाएगा। यह जानकारी शिक्षा मंत्री ने आज उस वक्त दी जब "वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन ऑफ़ मैनेजमेंट ऑफ़ प्राइवेट एडिड कॉलेजिज" का एक प्रतिनिधमंडल उनसे मिलने आया हुआ था।
प्रतिनिधिमंडल के सदस्यों के साथ कैथल विधानसभा क्षेत्र से विधायक श्री लीला राम , एसोसिएशन के प्रेजिडेंट पूर्व विधायक श्री तेजवीर सिंह , महासचिव सरदार ए एस ओबेरॉय भी शामिल थे। शिक्षा मंत्री से "वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन ऑफ़ मैनेजमेंट ऑफ़ प्राइवेट एडिड कॉलेजिज" ने मांग की कि प्रदेश के गवर्नमेंट एडिड कॉलेजों में शैक्षणिक तथा गैर - शैक्षणिक स्वीकृत पदों में से रिक्त पड़े पदों को भरने की अनुमति दी जाए ताकि विद्यार्थियों की पढाई प्रभावित न हो।
उन्होंने बताया कि दिसंबर 2023 में उच्चतर शिक्षा विभाग के निदेशक की ओर से राज्य के सभी गवर्नमेंट एडिड प्राइवेट कॉलेजों को एक पत्र भेजकर आगामी आदेशों तक शैक्षणिक तथा गैर - शैक्षणिक स्टॉफ की भर्ती न करने के निर्देश दिए गए थे। पहले दी गई अनुमति को भी वापस ले लिया गया था। निदेशक के इन निर्देशों के कारण अब प्रदेश के गवर्नमेंट एडिड प्राइवेट कॉलेजों में रिक्त पड़े (शैक्षणिक तथा गैर - शैक्षणिक) पदों को न भरने के कारण विद्यार्थियों की पढाई प्रभावित हो रही है।
शिक्षा मंत्री ने एसोसिएशन के सदस्यों को आश्वासन दिया कि वे इस मामले का अध्ययन करवा कर सकारात्मक कार्रवाई करेंगी। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार प्रदेश में उच्चतर शिक्षा में कई बदलाव लाकर युवाओं को आत्मनिर्भर करने की दिशा में कदम उठा रही है। उन्होंने बताया कि बड़ी संख्या में कॉलेजों और विश्वविद्यालयों में 7 वर्षों के दौरान हरियाणा में सकल नामांकन अनुपात (Gross Enrolment Ratio) (जीईआर) में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि देखी गई है।
हरियाणा में जीईआर 32 प्रतिशत है, जिसमें से अखिल भारतीय सर्वेक्षण रिपोर्ट 2020-21 के अनुसार महिला जीईआर 34.8 प्रतिशत है, जबकि राष्ट्रीय जीईआर 27.5 प्रतिशत और राष्ट्रीय महिला जीईआर 27.8 प्रतिशत है। हमारा लक्ष्य वर्ष 2025 तक जीईआर 50 प्रतिशत करना है।
