Haryana Health and Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta said that Karnal is set to become a hub for domestic air travel across India in the upcoming months. Plans are underway to upgrade Karnal Aerodrome into a fully operational domestic airport.
Haryana Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta today discussed the proposal to build a domestic airport in Karnal with the officers of the Aerodrome, Public Works Department, and other relevant departments in Karnal. Officers were provided with the necessary guidance to expedite the implementation of this project.
He said that Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh and Union Minister Sh. Manohar Lal are committed to enhancing convenience for Karnal residents through the domestic air project. To facilitate this initiative, Karnal Aerodrome was thoroughly inspected, and officials were directed to address any existing challenges that may hinder the project's advancement.
Dr. Gupta alos examined the workshop, runway, and other key facilities at Karnal Aerodrome during his visit.The Civil Aviation Minister stated that surveys are currently being conducted at Karnal, Ambala, Pinjore, Narnaul, and Bhiwani, where airstrips ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 feet are available. Under the RCS, possibilities of establishing domestic airports are being explored based on these surveys.
Discussions will follow with officers after surveying all airstrips, and wherever feasible, domestic airports will be developed.Former minister, Sh. Karandev Kamboj, former Mayor, Smt. Renu Bala Gupta and other senior officers of Karnal Aerodrome and district administration remained present on this occasion.

नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री ने करनाल एयरोड्रोम का किया निरीक्षण, एयरोड्रोम के अधिकारियों से डोमेस्टिक एयरपोर्ट बनाने के प्रस्ताव पर की चर्चा

हरियाणा के स्वास्थ्य एवं नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री डॉ. कमल गुप्ता ने कहा कि अब आने वाले कुछ माह में करनाल से भारतवर्ष के लिए हवाई सफर किया जा सकेगा। इसके लिए करनाल एयरोड्रोम को डोमेस्टिक एयरपोर्ट बनाने की योजना है। हरियाणा के नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री डॉ. कमल गुप्ता ने आज करनाल में एयरोड्रोम, लोक निर्माण विभाग के साथ-साथ अन्य संबंधित विभागों के अधिकारियों के साथ करनाल में डोमेस्टिक एयरपोर्ट बनाने के प्रस्ताव पर चर्चा की है। इस परियोजना को शीघ्र अति शीघ्र अमलीजामा पहनाने के लिए अधिकारियों को कुछ आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश भी दिए गए।
उन्होंने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह और केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल करनाल के नागरिकों को सुविधा देने के लिए डोमेस्टिक एयरपोर्ट की परियोजना को अमलीजामा पहनाना चाहते हैं। इसी उद्देश्य से ही करनाल एयरोड्रोम का निरीक्षण किया गया है और अधिकारियों से डोमेस्टिक एयरपोर्ट बनाने को लेकर जो भी कठिनाइयां थी, उन्हें दूर करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं। उन्होंने करनाल एयरोड्रोम की वर्कशॉप, हवाई पट्टी और एयरोड्रोम के चारों तरफ बनाई गई चारदीवारी और अन्य मुख्य कक्षों का निरीक्षण किया।
नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री ने कहा कि करनाल, अंबाला, पिंजौर, नारनौल और भिवानी में 3 से 4 हजार फुट की पट्टिïयां हैं। इन सभी हवाई पट्टियों का सर्वे किया जा रहा है और आरसीएस के तहत डोमेस्टिक एयरपोर्ट बनाने की संभावनाओं को तलाशा जा रहा है। इन सभी हवाई पट्टियों का सर्वे करने के बाद अधिकारियों से चर्चा की जाएगी और जहां-जहां संभावना होगी वहां डोमेस्टिक एयरपोर्ट बनाया जाएगा।इस मौके पर पूर्व मंत्री कर्णदेव काम्बोज, करनाल के उपायुक्त श्री उत्तम सिंह, पूर्व मेयर रेनू बाला गुप्ता सहित करनाल एयरोड्रोम तथा जिला प्रशासन के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी मौजूद थे।
