In the absence of Nehal, explosive wicketkeeper batsman Prabhsimran Singh has been appointed as the new captain of Team Trident. शेर-ए-पंजाब टी-20 कप के लिए पंजाब क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन(पीसीए) अपनी तैयारी कर चुका है और ट्राइडेंट स्टैलियंस के प्लेयर्स भी अपने मुकाबले को तैयार हैं। सीजन-2 के शुरू होने से पहले टीम ने आईपीएल स्टार नेहल वढेरा को टीम का कप्तान बनाया था, लेकिन नेशनल ड्यूटी पर होने की वजह से वे टीम का साथ नहीं दे पाएंगे।
नेहल की गैर-मौजूदगी में विस्फोटक विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज प्रभसिमरन सिंह को टीम ट्राइडेंट का नया कप्तान नियुक्त किया गया है। टीम के ओनर राजिंदर गुप्ता जी ने उनके टीम से जुड़ने पर खुशी जताई और कहा कि वे नेहल की कमी को पूरा करते हुए टीम को खिताब की दौड़ में शामिल करेंगे। प्रभसिमरन को इस सफर में रमनदीप, बलतेज और गुरनूर जैसे आईपीएल स्टार्स का साथ मिलेगा।
