In view of the polling  of Lok Sabha Election 2024, scheduled to be held tomorrow on 20th May 2024 in all 03 ACs of District Bandipora, District Election Officer, Bandipora Shakeel ul Rehman today  flagged off poll parties for Assembly Segment 15-Bandipora. A total of 144 polling parties, along with EVMs, and other necessary material  were dispatched from Mini Secretariat Bandipora  for polling stations of 15-Bandipora Assembly Segment while as  31 poll parties and 137 poll parties were despatched by ARO Gurez and ARO Sonawari respectively from their respective DCRCs.

The polling will be held across 312 polling stations of Bandipora District, which is part of 1-Baramulla PC,  tomorrow on 20th May. The DEO, on the occasion, interacted with poll staff and took first hand appraisal of Poll preparedness, facilities, and security measures.

While interacting with poll staff, the DEO emphasized the importance of fair and transparent elections, urging all stakeholders to uphold the sanctity of the democratic process. He highlighted the responsibility entrusted upon the polling teams to ensure a smooth conduct of elections, adhering strictly to the ECI guidelines and regulations.

During his media briefing, the District Election Officer Shakeel ul Rehman  urged all eligible voters of Bandipora District to exercise their democratic right and cast their votes. He passionately appealed to eligible citizens to step out of their homes and participate actively in the electoral process by casting their votes on poll day.

He said all necessary arrangements are in place, including welfare and security measures. The DEO was accompanied by ADC Umar Shafi Pandit, ARO 15-Bandipora (ACR) Shabir Ahmad Wani, DyDEO Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat, DIO Dr. Naseer Ahmad and other concerned officers/officials.
