District Election Officer (DEO), Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium here to review preparations for upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the district.

Interacting with the BLOs, the DEO laid emphasis on their integral role in electoral framework. He delved into details of voter registration and distribution of Elector Photo Identity Cards (EPIC). He also shed light on the provisions being implemented for voters aged 85 and above, and those for specially-abled voters, to ensure their equitable participation.

The DEO urged functionaries to inspire voter engagement, emphasizing on the importance of maintaining a non-partisan approach.To encourage voter participation, the DEO also flagged off a Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Van on the occasion. 

This mobile initiative will traverse each assembly constituency in the district, with its inaugural stop being Marh.Nodal Officer SVEEP, Dr. Vikas Sharma, was also present on the occasion.
