Dr. Davinder Kumar has been appointed as the new civil surgeon of the district. He was earlier serving as Senior Medical Officer at Hajipur Primary Health center in Hoshiarpur and has now been promoted as Deputy Director. He was given a warm welcome by the staff of the Civil Surgeon's Office.
He has rendered his services to the health department in different capacities. He had joined the Health Department as a Medical Officer in 1993 and was promoted to senior medical officer in 2017. While assuming the charge, Dr Davinder Kumar said that he would do his best for effective implementation of various national and state health programs and schemes in the district.
He said that improving the functioning of government health institutions in the district and providing better health services are his top priorities. He asked the entire staff to do their duty with utmost dedication and integrity.
On this occasion, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr Renu Singh, District Health officer Dr Subhash Kumar, District Immunization Officer Dr. Girish Dogra, District Mass Media Officer Harcharan Singh, Personal Assistant to Civil Surgeon Davinder Singh, Health Inspector Dilbagh Singh, Rajinder Singh and other officers and staff were present.

ਡਾ. ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨ ਬਣੇ ਹਨ। ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਮਿਲਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਡਾ. ਮਹੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਆਹੂਜਾ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਡਾ. ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਹਾਜੀਪੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਮਰੀ ਹੈਲਥ ਸੈਂਟਰ ’ਚ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿੱਘਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਡਾ. ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਲ 1993 ਵਿਚ ਬਤੌਰ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਭਰਤੀ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਹਾਜੀਪੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਮਰੀ ਹੈਲਥ ਸੈਂਟਰ ’ਚ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਤੇ 2017 ਵਿਚ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਬਣੇ ਸਨ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਤੇ ਮਿਆਰੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਵਲ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਖੱਜਲ-ਖੁਆਰੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਮਿਲੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਪੂਰੀ ਲਗਨ, ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਈਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨ ਡਾ. ਰੇਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਡਾ. ਸੁਭਾਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਟੀਕਾਕਰਨ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਡਾ. ਗਿਰੀਸ਼ ਡੋਗਰਾ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮਾਸ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਹਰਚਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨ ਦੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹੈਲਥ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਦਿਲਬਾਗÊਸਿੰਘ, ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸੀ।
