In celebration of International Women’s Day, Rainbow Children’s Hospital on Sarjapur Road hosted a women’s-only walkathon titled “Let’s Walk – To Inspire Inclusion” on March 8th, 2024.

The walkathon, commemorated with tree planting, proceeded to include a fun Zumba session to limber up the participants. Women from diverse backgrounds, such as students, teachers, seniors, mothers, entrepreneurs, journalist, doctors, and nurses, totalling 500 plus participants over 18 years of age, participated.

The walkathon commenced at Rainbow Children’s Hospital on Sarjapur Unit, promoting a message of unity and well-being.“Let’s Walk” aimed to inspire a sense of community and inclusion among women while emphasizing the significance of prioritizing their health.

International Women’s Day serves as a timely reminder that investing in women's health is not only crucial for their well-being but also impacts the health and well-being of their families and communities. The walkathon provided a platform for women to come together and celebrate their strength, resilience, and commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nithyananda P, Vice President, Rainbow Children’s Hospital said “This International Women’s Day, ‘Let’s Walk’ served as a powerful platform to celebrate the strength and resilience of women. We are thrilled with the turnout for ‘Let’s Walk’ walkathon. It was inspiring to see so many women come together to celebrate International Women’s Day and promote a message of inclusion.”
