In a proactive move to commemorate International Women's Day and advocate for women's empowerment, District Commissioner Harvinder Singh, flagged oof a rally here today . The event aimed to celebrate the achievements of women while highlighting the importance of empowering them for societal progress.

The rally, starting from the DC office in Doda, saw enthusiastic participation from students and officials of the Social Welfare Department. As they marched through key areas like the old bus stand, Bharath road, and Tondwa, the participants raised slogans echoing the sentiment of "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter). 

This resonated with the overarching theme of the event: "Invest in Women to Accelerate Progress."Amidst the spirited atmosphere of the mega rally, the attendees reiterated the need to prioritize initiatives that empower women. 

With the upcoming celebration of International Women's Day, the event served as a precursor to a series of activities geared towards raising awareness about gender equality and women's rights.
