The Border district Rajouri on Thursday witnessed an extraordinary event as education professionals from across the region gathered at the Government Model Higher Secondary School, Lamberi,  for the  Mega Education Conference, the first ever of its kind. 

The landmark conference, organised under the  patronage and  guidance of  Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma,  aimed to delve into the variegated aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, alongside addressing the formidable challenges and charting a successful roadmap for its implementation.

The conference garnered immense interest and participation, with esteemed officers including  Director School Education Jammu gracing the event as the Chief Guest and Mohd Ashraf Ch. Joint Director Rajouri-Poonch serving as the Guest of Honour.

In his enlightening speech, Director emphasized the significance of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in revolutionizing the education system. He highlighted the need to create a student-centered approach that promotes creativity, critical thinking and holistic development. He  advised the education community to work tirelessly with zeal and commitment to ensure that nep  2020's transformative vision is realised, creating a brighter future for our students and our nation.

He also applauded the outstanding efforts of Department of school education district Rajouri headed by Bishamber Dass Chief Education Officer Rajouri, in organizing this groundbreaking event, stating that it provides a crucial platform for education professionals to collaborate and exchange ideas, ultimately leading to the transformation of education in the region. He encouraged all participants to actively engage in the discussions and contribute their valuable insights towards the implementation of NEP- 2020.

The conference showcased fervent enthusiasm for education reform, bringing together all stakeholders, including hundreds of Teachers, Lecturers, Principals, Zonal Educational Officers, Headmasters and Educators. Their collective presence exemplified the commitment to enhancing the educational landscape in Rajouri.

The learned speakers from department of education, district Rajouri who deliberated on  variegated aspects of NEP-20 including Suman Lata Teacher GHSS Sunderbani, Dr. Dushyant Pardeep Teacher BHSS Sunderbani, Rakesh Kumar Sharma Principal BHSS Rajouri and R. C. Sharma Principal GHSS Sunderbani delivered captivating lectures that shed light on crucial aspects of education reform, fueling intellectual discourse and reaffirming the conference's pivotal role in transforming the local educational ecosystem.

In his address, the Joint Director Rajouri-Poonch Jb. Mohd. Ashraf also expressed his admiration and appreciation for the Chief Education Officer Rajouri's exceptional efforts in organizing this first of its kind event. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to each and every participant, recognizing their invaluable contributions towards making this conference an astounding success. He also advised the teacher community to update their knowledge and skill to address the challenges of 21 st century learner.

In his speech, the Chief Education Officer Rajouri Sh Bishamber Das expressed gratitude to the Worthy Director School Jammu and Joint Director Rajouri –Poonch, for their patronage and participation in the conference.

He also thanked the education community of Rajouri for their active engagement and commitment to improving the educational landscape. Furthermore, he reminded the teacher community to remain conscientious and dedicated in their duties, emphasizing the importance of their role in shaping the future generation.

The highly engaging and enlightening discussions were masterfully facilitated by Sonia Sharma, Senior Lecturer GMHSS Lamberi and Mohammad Muslim Wani Senior Lecturer (Physics) Govt. Girls Model HSS Rajouri, who expertly moderated the proceedings from the dais. Mr. Wani's insightful contributions to the topic further invigorated the audience's participation, ensuring a dynamic and thought-provoking exchange of ideas. He also got his book on NEP-20 released by the dignitaries.

 Later on, Worthy Director School Education Jammu and Joint Director were presented mementoes and shawls by the Chief Education Officer as tokens of love and respect, recognizing their significant contributions and  visionary guidance towards organizing the conference and advancing educational initiatives in the region.

In the end, Smt. Pawan Sharma Principal GHSS Dhangri, presented the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees, speakers and organizers for their contributions to the success of the conference. She acknowledged the dedication and effort put forth by everyone involved and emphasized the importance of collaboration in driving positive change in the education sector.
