Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary today chaired a meeting of officers to review the progress and achievements made under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district.

During the review, Deputy Commissioner Chaudhary stressed the importance of achieving comprehensive coverage of schemes at the grassroots level. He emphasized the need for balanced development across all panchayats, urging all line departments to work towards this goal diligently.

Active involvement of farmers was highlighted as essential for the successful execution of the HADP plan. Officials were directed to engage and educate farmers about the schemes to ensure their effective implementation.

To facilitate market access to local produce, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the General Manager  District Industries Centre (DIC) to facilitate the establishment of rural huts for Farmers Producer Organizations (FPO). Additionally, plans were made to organize a Kissan Mela to educate the farming community, with insights shared by progressive farmers.

Reviewing the  departmental and sector-wise progress, the Deputy Commissioner stressed all line departments to work towards achieving saturation of schemes at the panchayat level, ensuring uniform development across all panchayats.

During the meeting, 486 cases were approved under the HADP, including initiatives in the Animal Husbandry and Agriculture sectors.
