In a unique initiative, The district administration of Moga has started a free coaching center for the preparation of civil services.  Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kulwant Singh inaugurated this center today.  Thus, Moga has become the first district in Punjab, which has started a free coaching center for civil services preparation on its own.

Earlier, the youth had to go to Delhi or Chandigarh to prepare for civil services.  But now with the opening of this center, there is no need to go far.It is to be noted that more than 100 young boys and girls of district Moga have enrolled in this center. Orientation of these boys and girls will be done for one week.  

Out of which 50 boys and girls will be selected on merit, and are to be given further coaching.  This training will be for one year.  There will be 3 to 4 hour classes daily on five days of the week.  Preparation for pre- and mains will be done during coaching.  Those children who will pass both these stages will be given free interview preparation.

Trainers are being hired to provide training.  An amount of 20 lakh rupees has been kept for this coaching by the district administration.Addressing the audience, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kulwant Singh said that preparations were being made for the opening of this center for the last two years. Today it looks like a dream come true.  

He said that until the coaching staff is recruited, the government officials serving in district Moga will conduct their classes. He said that a very good environment will be created for the young boys and girls.  The center will try to provide a library, all kinds of reading material, preparation material, and all kinds of mental support.  He said that with this initiative, the increasing migration from this region will also be stopped.

 It is to be noted that even before this free stenography course is being conducted for the youth in district Moga.  This course was started on 1st June.  which will be completed in May 2024.  On completion of the course, the language department of Punjab will conduct a test of the learners.

It is also to be mentioned here that the Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann has announced that 9 coaching centers will be opened in the state, where the youth of the state will be given free coaching for the preparation of civil services.  One of these centers is also set to open at Moga.  

Additional Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Anita Darshi, SDM Mr. Sarangpreet Singh Aujla, District Public Relations Officer Mr. Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal, District Employment Officer Mrs. Dimple, and others, present on this occasion, wished the youth a bright future. The young boys and girls present on this occasion thanked the Deputy Commissioner and the District Administration for this initiative.
