Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Nazim Zia Khan, today chaired a mega public darbar at Kokernag aimed to address public grievances, review development activities and tackle issues affecting the community. Nazim Zia emphasized the pivotal role of such outreach programs in bridging the gap between the administration and the citizens for effective implementation of government schemes.

He highlighted the significance of senior government officials engaging directly with the people to address and resolve their concerns besides obtaining feedback on welfare and development programmes being launched in the area.

Heads of various departments including Revenue, Police, Power, Health, Education, Public Works, Agriculture, and allied wings were present during the camp to address sector specific concerns of local populace.

Nazim Zia, after hearing grievances and demands of the public, sought on the spot response from the concerned district officers present in the grievance redressal camp. He assured the people that all their demands and issues will be looked into on priority for redressal.

He also gave on the spot directions to the officers for ensuring time bound redressal of the public issues.  He emphasized on cent percent implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes on ground for overall development and welfare of the people while stressing on saturation of Social Security Schemes.

Nazim Zia commended the youth of Anantnag district for venturing into entrepreneurship thus transforming their lives and the lives of those connected with them in their businesses. He said that entrepreneurship has the potential to serve as an incredible source of economic growth, with entrepreneurs evolving into job providers rather than job seekers.

Acknowledging Anantnag's place in the tourism world, the Mission Director emphasized the vast opportunities available in other sectors such as sheep farming, dairy farming, and trout fish farming. He pointed out that the district's favorable geographical location makes it conducive for diversifying into these areas.

Nazim Zia urged upon the unemployed youth to take advantage of various government schemes and explore opportunities in these sectors thus contributing towards generation of dignified employment avenues, fostering economic growth in the district. He emphasized the need for the community to utilize government initiatives, ensuring sustainable development and prosperity of the district.
