Commissioner Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Zubair Ahmad along with Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Shakeel Ur Rehman Monday flagged off a rally from the Mini Secretariat, setting the stage for a month-long focus on promoting safe and responsible road usage.

The rally witnessed participation from students, government representatives, and members of the local community. Marching through the streets, the participants displayed placards and banners emblazoned with catchy slogans advocating for road safety measures like wearing helmets, obeying traffic rules, avoiding over speeding, and driving under the influence.

The rally while traversing through key thoroughfares of Bandipora, served as a potent reminder of the need for vigilance and adherence to traffic regulations. ARTO Bandipora, Bilal Ahmad Mir said that road safety month in Bandipora will go beyond the rally, encompassing a series of activities throughout the month. He said that the activities include painting competitions, workshops for drivers and pedestrians, awareness drives in educational institutions, and distribution of informative materials.
