In Hyderabad, a Zomato delivery rider resorted to a unique mode of transportation on Tuesday as petrol stations faced shortages due to a truckers' strike over a new law on hit-and-run accidents. Wearing the distinctive Zomato bag, the delivery boy was spotted navigating the streets near Imperial Hotel in the Chanchalguda area of the old city astride a horse.

The video capturing this innovative approach to completing a delivery quickly gained traction on social media. The delivery rider embraced this unconventional method after realizing that his motorbike had run out of petrol. With petrol stations either closed due to depleted stocks or experiencing long queues of customers, the horse provided a practical and efficient solution.

This incident drew parallels with a past episode in Mumbai in 2002 when a Swiggy delivery person was photographed delivering food on horseback during heavy rains. The recent horseback delivery in Hyderabad serves as a testament to the creativity and adaptability of delivery personnel in the face of unforeseen challenges in their line of work
