Chief Project Director JICA Nagesh Kumar Guleria is doing commendable work to take the JICA Forestry Project to the pinnacle in Himachal Pradesh. Chief guest and local MLA Chandrashekhar said this at the inauguration of a one-day workshop and exhibition organized by JICA Forestry Project at Sidhpur near Dharampur in district Mandi on Wednesday. 

Addressing the public meeting here, Chandrashekhar appreciated the work done by Chief Project Director Nagesh Kumar Guleria. He said that Nagesh Kumar Guleria is working to take the JICA Forestry Project to the pinnacle. MLA Chandrashekhar said that CPD Nagesh Kumar Guleria has done commendable work in taking this project to new heights. 

Chandrashekhar said that the self-help groups associated under the JICA project are preparing organic products. A new phase of earning livelihood has started. He said that the next four years will be full of challenges for this project. 

The MLA said that work should be done in JICA through democratic process. Used to be. All self-help groups were asked to prepare as many business plans as possible. Chandrashekhar expressed his gratitude to CPD Nagesh Kumar Guleria for announcing a budget of Rs 1 crore for the bamboo project in Dharampur area. 

Before the start of the program, MLA Chandrashekhar inspected the stalls of products manufactured by self-help groups. He appreciated all the work being done by JICA Forestry Project.

Chandrashekhar is a visionary leader: Guleria

Chief Project Director Nagesh Kumar Guleria said that the local MLA Chandrashekhar is a visionary leader. He said that MLA Chandrashekhar will bring Dharampur area on the tourism map. Nagesh Kumar Guleria said that JICA Forestry Project is training the representatives of self-help groups for skill development. 

He said that in the last one and a half year, products manufactured by self-help groups have been sold worth Rs 1 crore 25 lakh. Nagesh Kumar Guleria announced Rs 1 crore for the Bamboo Project in Dharampur. Nagesh Kumar Guleria also instructed all the groups to include as many livelihood activities as possible in their business plans. 

He said that JICA Forestry Project is providing 365 days employment. Nagesh Kumar Guleria said that the pure ghee prepared by the self-help group will be sold at the rate of Rs 1400 per kg. Many dignitaries including CCF Mandi Ajit Thakur, DFO Jogindernagar Kamal Bharti were present on this occasion.
