The International Day of Persons with Disabilities was marked with a significant event organized by the Social Welfare department at Dakbanglow, Baramulla. The function, presided over by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf and attended by the District Social Officer, aimed to raise awareness and promote inclusivity.

The event brought together community members, local authorities, and advocates for persons with disabilities to underscore the importance of fostering an inclusive society. Various activities and discussions highlighted the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and emphasized the need for accessible environments.

In his address, the ADDC, along with the District Social Officer, emphasized the role of collective efforts in creating a more accommodating community. "We must work hand in hand to remove barriers and ensure equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of ability," said the ADDC.

The District Social Officer highlighted ongoing initiatives and future plans to enhance the support system for persons with disabilities. The Social Welfare department showcased these initiatives, reinforcing the commitment to the welfare of individuals with disabilities.

Attendees engaged in insightful conversations, fostering a sense of unity and understanding. The occasion served as a reminder that inclusivity is not just a goal but a collective responsibility.
