The fifth Phase of the Back to Village (B2V5) Programme commenced today in Kupwara district with great enthusiasm and participation of a large number of people. On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan, ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir and SDMs visited various Panchayat halqas of Kupwara district to monitor the ongoing activities being held under the Back to Village (B2V5) programme.

During his visit, the ADDC took part in interactive sessions in which Visiting Officers and officials from line departments heard the issues of the people. The ADDC impressed upon the officers and field functionaries to note down all the issues of the people raised in the Gram Sabhas and ensure their time bound redressal.

On the first day of B2V5 in Kupwara, various government officials, including administrative officers, and representatives from different departments, arrived at several designated 129 Panchayats of the district. The officials interacted with the local residents, listened to their concerns, and assessed the requirements of the villages.

The first day's activities included discussions on various development projects, welfare schemes and infrastructural improvements needed at grassroots level. The participating officials engaged in fruitful dialogues with the villagers to gather their feedback and suggestions, ensuring that the development programmes align with the aspirations of the local population.

Meanwhile, training of Visiting Officers for Phase 2nd of B2V5 was conducted at Town Hall Kupwara in which AC Panchayats Kupwara, Mudassir Ahmad and other experts imparted necessary training to them. The second phase of B2V5 will commence from 10th November 2023 in 128 Panchayats of the district.
