Champions of hangzhou Asian Games 2023 were given a rousing welcome amid Drumbeats and shower of petals at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Mohali, today, by the district administration. Divulging details, the deputy commissioner Aashika Jain said that as per the commitment of the Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann to promote our sportspersons for presenting them icons of the Punjab Youth, the Asian Games medal winners Tejinderpal Singh Toor and Harmilan Bains were given a befitting reception by the budding players of the district at Airport with Drumbeats.
Showering petals over the great son/daughter of soil, the players hugged them too.Filed Officer of Chief Minister in Mohali, Inderpal accompanied by District Sports Officer Gurdeep Kaur and Coaches Welcomed the Toor and Bains at Airport by garlanding them. Tejinderpal Singh Toor has got gold in shotput while Harmilan Bains has got two silvers in 800 Meters and 1500 Meters respectively.The budding players from local sports complexes took selfies with their heroes and danced to the tune of Drumbeats.
