The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal, in collaboration with the Art of Living foundation, organized a one-hour long introductory training session on meditation for relaxation and peace at the Conference hall of District Court Ganderbal.The event aimed to promote the practice of meditation as a means to attain relaxation and inner peace for individuals.The programme was held under the supervision of Chairman DLSA Ganderbal, Ritesh Kumar Dubey and guidance of Secretary DLSA, Nusrat Ali Hakak.

The programme was graced by Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Ganderbal as Chief Guest and was accompanied by all Ld. Judicial Officers of District Ganderbal, which include Chief Judicial Magistrate, Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi; Ld. Civil Judge (senior Division), Nusrat Ali Hakak; Ld. Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Mainaaz Qadir; Ld. Munsiff/JMIC, Waseem Mirza; Vandana Daftri, Regional Director, Art of Living; Legal Assistant, officials Ld. Panel Lawyers, Ld Advocates of Bar Association Ganderbal and Para Legal Volunteers of DLSA Ganderbal.

The programme commenced with the playing of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) Theme Song resonating with the gathering.The introductory remarks at the Mental Health and Meditation Training Programme were given by Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Ganderbal. In his special address, he graciously extended a warm welcome to all the attendees, emphasizing the significance of their presence in the training session.

Pr. District & Sessions Judge expressed his enthusiasm for the training programme, highlighting its primary objective: the dissemination of knowledge on mental health and the provision of tools such as meditation to enhance overall well-being.Acknowledging the pressing need for mental health education, he emphasized the importance of equipping individuals with the skills and techniques to achieve a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

The training session was facilitated by Vandana Daftri, Regional Director of the Art of Living Organization that specializes in promoting well-being through various techniques and practices.The session introduced participants to the significance of meditation in reducing stress, enhancing mental clarity, and improving overall emotional well-being.

During the session, participants had the opportunity to learn the basic principles of meditation and to understand how it can be applied in different life situations. Participants also gained insights into the role of meditation in conflict resolution, both at the personal and community levels.

Secretary, DLSA expressed her gratitude towards Art of Living foundation for their collaboration and emphasized the importance of incorporating meditation techniques in daily life for fostering peace and tranquillity.

Vandana Daftari shared her thoughts on the initiative, stating, "We are pleased to collaborate with the DLSA Ganderbal in promoting the practice of meditation for relaxation and peace. Our organization has always recognized the transformational power of meditation, and we believe that by incorporating it into our daily routine, individuals can experience significant improvements in their overall well-being."
