In a remarkable display of community engagement and commitment to Mahatma Gandhi's ideals of cleanliness and sustainability, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal, under the aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority today  kick started 2-days cleaness drive on lines of “Swachhata Hi Sewa-2023 (SHS-2023)” national campaign.The event took place at the premises of District Court Ganderbal as a tribute to the great visionary leader Mahatma Gandhi ji. The programmes were held under the able supervision of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ritesh Kumar Dubey and under the guidance of the Sub-Judge/Secretary,  Nusrat Ali Hakak of the District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal.The celebration aimed to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi and promote his principles of cleanliness and sustainability.

The drive was inaugurated by Secretary District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal and witnessed a strong Participation of staff & PLVs of District Ganderbal, officials Nad Safayi karamchayis from Municipality. The celebration aimed to honor the teachings and principles of Mahatma Gandhi. District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal organized a series of activities to commemorate the occasion. These activities included awareness sessions, cleanliness drives, within the court premises. This initiative not only symbolized the importance of cleanliness but also promoted a healthy and hygienic environment. Speaking about the event, Sub-Judge/Secretary stated, "Mahatma Gandhi's teachings on cleanliness and sustainability hold immense importance even today. District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal exemplifies commitment to honor his ideals and promote a cleaner and greener environment.

She further added, "It is heartening to witness the community coming together to celebrate the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and contribute towards a better future. We are grateful for the support and participation of all those who made this event a success."District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal remains dedicated to fostering a sense of responsibility and sustainable practices among the community. Through events like this, they aim to inspire others to follow in Mahatma Gandhi's footsteps and contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable society.
