Seven players from Punjab won one gold and three bronze medals in Cricket, Rowing and Shooting in the ongoing Asian Games at Hangzhou today. Punjab Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer congratulated the medal winning players and said that it is a matter of pride for Punjab that our players are bringing glory to the name of the country. 

Punjab players won one silver and one bronze medal in Rowing yesterday. Today, Punjab players won one gold and three bronze medals.The Indian women's cricket team won the gold medal by defeating Sri Lanka in the final. Team Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Amanjot Kaur and Kanika Ahuja are from Punjab. 

Similarly, in the Men's Quadruple Sculls rowing event, the Indian team won the bronze medal in which two players Sukhmeet Singh and Satnam Singh belonged to Punjab. India also won a bronze medal in the Coxless Four in which Punjab's Jaswinder Singh also participated. 

Jaswinder Singh also won the silver medal yesterday. In shooting, the Indian team won the rapid fire pistol bronze medal, which included Punjab's Vijayveer Sidhu.
