Government Degree College Ramgarh organized an awareness programme on Career Counseling.The event was organized by Career Counseling Cell, IQAC, the NSS unit ‘Prabha’ in collaboration with ‘Wings- Ek Udaan’ institute under the banners of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘India’s Presidency in the G20’. 

The event was organized under the supervision and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, the worthy Principal of the college.In the beginning of the event, Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Convener, IQAC, said that career counseling is a process that helps individuals identify and explore career options, make informed decisions about their future, and develop strategies to achieve their goals. 

It can be helpful at any stage of life, but it is especially beneficial for young people who are just starting out in their careers. Career counseling can be of wondering help for grooming a person, as they may be overwhelmed by the numerous options available to them.

The team of Wings- Ek Udaan institute included  Kanav Sharma,  Abhishek Pathania and Sahil Sharma. They highlighted that after graduating from college; graduates may feel a sense of emptiness and are often unsure about where to start their job search. 

Perhaps they are unsure about their education and whether they want to pursue further studies. Career counseling can be very useful for these graduates, as it can prepare them for immediate satisfaction and a long, prosperous professional life. Career counseling can help individuals. 

In their presentation, they explained that their institute provides coaching for various competitive examinations, such as Civil Services, Banking, Police, Army, etc. Kanav Sharma brought into light the fact that students from remote and backward areas have to face a lot of challenges when it comes to preparation for various competitive examinations. 

He highlighted that such students and aspirants face financial, emotional, travelling constraints. In order to meet the expectations of the aspirants from the rural and backward areas, Wings-Ek Udaan institute is going to establish their branch in Vijaypur.

A large number of students of the college participated. The faculty members present during the event were Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Seema Sharma, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Shamsher Lal (NSS PO), Prof. Risha Kumari, Dr. Ekta Rani, Dr. Shivali Choudhary, Dr. Paramjeet Kour,  Sunil Kumar, Ms. Priya Sharma, Ms. Arpana Devi and Dr. Rahul Kundal.
