Government Degree College Ramgarh organized Intra-College Patriotic Singing Competition in continuation to the special series of activities being organized to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti 2023 under the aegis of India's Presidency in G20 and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.The event was organized under the guidance and coordination of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College.

A large number of students participated in the event with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students sang beautiful melodious patriotic songs. Ritika Manhas, a student of Sem V stood first, second position was clicked by Chahat Sapolia and third position was bagged by Anjali Dogra.

 Prof. Risha Kumari, Convener of the event said that Patriotism is the feeling of Love, devotion and sense of attachment to one’s country and  attachment can be a combination of many different feelings, language relating to one’s own homeland, including ethnic, cultural and religious tolerance. 

It encompasses a set of concepts closely related to nationalism, mostly civic nationalism and sometimes cultural nationalism. At the outset, Dr. Sandeep Kumar said that these competitions provide a platform for students to demonstrate their singing skills, promote patriotism and make the students culturally aware of the diversity of our nation

The other faculty members who were present include Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Seema Sharma, Dr. Shamsher Lal, Dr. Rahul Kundal, Dr. Ekta Rani, Dr. Priya Sharma, Dr. Shivali Choudhary, Dr. Paramjeet Kour & Dr. Sunil Kumar.
