The Chief Minister said that this venue has witnessed a number of such events in which youth have got jobs in various government departments. He said that this reflects the commitment of the state government to ensure the well being of youth and opening new avenues of employment for them.

He said that it is a record as none of the previous governments have given so many jobs to youth especially in the initial months of its tenure. Bhagwant Singh Mann reiterated that merit and transparency have been the twin pillars based on which jobs have been given to the youth across the state.

The Chief Minister said that the trend of moving abroad developed in the state due to the poor performance of the previous ‘Captains’ of the state. He said that these leaders never bothered to give jobs to the youth of the state owing to which the new generation preferred to migrate to other lands.

However, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government has checked this negative trend by ensuring reverse brain drain and creating numerous job opportunities for the youth. The Chief Minister quipped that a former Finance Minister of state chanted rhetoric of ‘empty state exchequer’ for nine long years thereby demoralizing the youth of Punjab.

However, he said that now the state government is providing jobs to youth of Punjab on every passing day due to which younger generations are becoming active partners in socio-economic development of the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this massive campaign will be further carried in the coming days to empower more and more youth.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these centres will provide quality training to youth for clearing the UPSC exams and sit on coveted positions in state and country. He said that the target of the state government is to ensure that youth sit in high offices and serve the country.

The Chief Minister said that now these youth have become integral part of the government adding that now should serve the people with missionary zeal. Bhagwant Singh Mann hoped that the new recruits will use their pen for helping the needy and underprivileged sections of society. He said that the newly recruited youth should ensure maximum welfare of the public so that every section of society is benefited from it.

He said that delegations of Principals/ Teachers have been sent to get training at Singapore, Ahmedabad and others for upscaling of their expertise.

Bhagwant Mann said that the single motive is to ensure that students of the government schools in the state get quality education so that they can compete with their convent educated peers across the globe.Likewise, the Chief Minister said that in order to provide best healthcare facilities to the people the state government has opened 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics across the state.

He said that these clinics have revolutionized the health care sector in the state as more than 95% of patients visiting these clinics daily recover from their ailments.
