In yet another significant development, an ex-minister’s son joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) today in the presence of worthy party president, Mehbooba Mufti at the party headquarters.
Majid Khan, son of the former minister Ghulam Hassan Khan from Shopian praised the party for its brave and bold political stance on his joining event.“I am part the party from now,” Majid said while joining.
And honestly speaking, it is the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti at the central level and the sincere efforts of Yawar Banday at the local level which motivated, rather attracted me towards the party,” Majid added.
He said that the way Mehbooba Mufti is representing the people’s sentiments is something extraordinary. I salute her valiant and uncompromising political stance.Majid Khan further said that the untiring activities of young and dynamic Yawar Banday are an asset at least for my home area, Shopian.
Yawar according to Majid has infused a fresh spirit in the party and is trying to make every effort to raise the issues related to the common people. He also remains available for the party workers almost round the clock and has dedicated himself for the party. He assured that more and more political activists will embrace the party in near future.
Party president Mehooba Mufti on the occasion welcomed the new entrant and hoped that his inclusion will certainly help the people of Shopian in achieving what they deserve.Mehbooba Mufti also praised the dedication of Yawar Banday for his determined activities in his area.
