Government Degree College Ramgarh celebrated Teachers’ day under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and G20, to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The event was organized by the department of Punjabi and held under the able guidance and Coordination of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College.
Prof. Risha Kumari, Convener of the event briefed the students about the day and said that Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was one of India's most distinguished scholars of the twentieth century and has made significant contributions to a variety of subjects starting from theoretical, theological, moral, instructive, communal, and enlightening subjects.
She added that Teachers’ Day is a reminder of the role that teachers play in nation-building by guiding and educating the brightest minds of our country.Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Deptt. of Statistics said that the bond between a teacher and a student is indeed special.
The teacher not only educates but also motivates, instills confidence and cultivates a love for learning in their students. Their patience, compassion and commitment towards their profession make them the guiding light in molding the future of our nation.
A cultural Bonanza was presented by the students of the college. They celebrated Teachers’ Day by performing songs, poem, Dance acknowledging the contribution of their teachers. Students also show their affection to their favourite teachers in the form of cards, speeches and chocolates.
By dedicating this special day to the teachers students thank their teachers in many ways.All the teaching and non teaching faculty members of the college attended the event.
