The film stands at around 501.87 crore at Indian box office by managing to earn Rs 284.63 crore in its first week, Rs 134.47 crore in its second week, Rs 63.35 crore in its third week and 19.42 crores in the last three days i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the fourth week reaching 501.87 crores on the fourth Sunday, that is the 24th day.
This exceptional success proves Sunny Deol’s comeback as a boom for the film industry. The film released as a tsunami in the theatres which laid everyone with the wave of nostalgia and its impact can still be seen in its box-office numbers even after 24 days. The sequel to 2001 released superhit film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Gadar 2 i.e. Gadar: The Katha Continues is directed by Anl Sharma and produced by Anil Sharma and Kamal Mukut under the label of Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Productions. The film released on 11 August 2023 stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles.
