The Joint Director, Youth Services and Sports Kashmir today visited Shopian and inaugurated chess competition of All age Group (Boys) held at Bismilla Hotel, Shirmal.JD, YSS Kashmir speaking on the occasion enumerated the benefits of sports.
He mentioned how sports helps a person to develop self esteem, discipline and how it helps to have a better future.After the conclusion of competition, appreciation certificates were distributed among the field staff (PEMs, PETs and REKs) for their performance.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Srinagar, officials of joint directorate and officials of DYSSO Shopian were also present.Moreover the students of all the ten districts of Kashmir province were present.Earlier, the competition started with the inaugural speech by DYSSO Shopian.
