The bustling streets of downtown Srinagar came alive with the spirit of sports as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar, expressed his delight at witnessing a cricket tournament broadcast live on television in the heart of the city. 

This event, organized by ANN News, marked a significant moment in the region's sporting history and showcased the enthusiasm and passion of the local youth for sports.Speaking on the sidelines of the cricket tournament held in the Shehr-e-Khas area of Rajouri Kadal in Srinagar, ADGP Vijay Kumar said, "It is heartwarming to see the youth of downtown Srinagar actively participating in sports events. 

Their wholehearted involvement reflects their genuine enthusiasm and commitment to sports."This landmark tournament, part of the J&K Qualifier League organized by ANN News, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of numerous young athletes from Srinagar district. 

ADGP Kumar hailed the efforts of ANN News and said, "The ANN News team has made history by organizing this sports event in downtown Srinagar. The overwhelming response from the youth demonstrates their deep-rooted passion for sports. We should aim to organize such events more frequently in the future."

Highlighting the role of the J&K Police in fostering positive community relations, ADGP Kumar stated, "The people-friendly efforts of J&K Police have restored confidence in the security forces among the local population. By focusing on key areas such as countering militancy and curbing drug abuse, we aim to create a safer and more harmonious society."

He extended his support to the youth of Kashmir, urging them to concentrate on their future and stay away from the pitfalls of drug addiction. Furthermore, ADGP Kumar appealed to parents to actively monitor their children's well-being and welfare, recognizing the crucial role they play in shaping the youth's future.

The event marked a significant milestone as it was the first time a cricket tournament had been broadcast live on television in Rajouri Kadal, downtown Srinagar. The tournament brought together several teams from Srinagar district, igniting the competitive spirit among the youth.

ADGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar took the opportunity to congratulate the ANN News team for successfully hosting this grand tournament in the heart of Srinagar. He expressed his gratitude to the people of downtown Srinagar for their unwavering support throughout the event.
