'Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan' Season-2 Torch Reaches District Moga

To make Punjab the leading state of the country in sports and to create a sports culture, Punjab Government has announced to hold the second season of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan in the next month.

To make people aware to take part in this sports extravaganza, Punjab Sports Department has started the Torch Relay in the state from Ludhiana. This relay entered in district Moga today, where Moga Deputy Commissioner Mr Kulwant Singh, along with SDM Mrs Charumita, District Public Relations Officer Mr Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal, District Sports Officer Mrs Navdeep Jindal, Sports Enthusiast Mr Jasbir Singh Gill and Mr Gurcharan Singh Dhudike, a large number of sports lovers and sportsmen welcomed the torch relay.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mr Kulwant Singh said that according to the sports tradition, this time the torch to be lit during the opening ceremony of the season-2 of the 'Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan' is being taken to every district headquarters in Punjab for a week. He said that the torch relay will be ended at Bathinda on August 29. 

The torch march at each district headquarters will be attended by local eminent sportspersons, sports department personnel, local representatives and district administration officials. Deputy Commissioner encouraged the sportsmen of district Moga to participate in these games and said that the district administration will not allow any deficiency in the smooth arrangements of these games.  

He hoped that the players of District Moga will perform very well in these games like last time and will make the name of District Moga shine.
