Chairperson DDC Ganderbal visits proposed Environmental Park Lar

The Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq today visited the proposed site of Environmental Park in Lar Ganderbal to assess the feasibility and potential of developing the park for the benefit of the local community.

The park, once developed, aims to provide a serene and green space for the residents of Ganderbal as well as to promote environmental conservation and awareness among visitors.The proposed environmental park is expected to encompass beautiful landscapes, lush green gardens, walking trails and recreational facilities. 

It is envisioned as a place where people can come together, relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.Additionally the park will also feature various amenities and facilities to cater to the needs of visitors such as seating areas, playgrounds and exercise spots.

During the visit, the Chairperson DDC assessed the available land and discussed potential design possibilities with the experts and officials. She also considered the integration of various eco-friendly features such as sustainable water management systems and renewable energy sources to ensure the park's sustainability and minimal environmental impact.

Furthermore, the Chairperson DDC emphasized the importance of community involvement in the development and maintenance of the park. She encouraged the residents to actively participate in the planning process and contribute their ideas and suggestions for the park's design and management.

The proposed environmental park in Lar Ganderbal holds significant potential for boosting tourism in the region and creating employment opportunities for the locals. It is anticipated that the park will not only serve as a recreational space but also as an educational hub promoting environmental awareness and conservation.

The Chairperson DDC expressed her commitment to ensuring the timely development of the park assuring the residents that their aspirations and needs would be given due consideration. She also assured the community that all necessary resources and support would be provided to make the park a reality.

During visit the Chairperson was accompanied by Conservator Forest, Mir Hafizullah; SE R&B Ganderbal, Nissar Ahmad Lala; Executive Engineer R&B Ganderbal, Tehsildar Lar, DFO environment Ganderbal, local authorities, environmental experts and representatives from various government departments.

Later, Chairperson DDC paid obeisance at Ziyarat Sharief Lal Bab Sahib (RA) Lar Ganderbal. She prayed for the overall development of the district. She also took stock of the facilities being extended to the devotees at the facility.
