A significant meeting focusing on Tuberculosis (TB) co-morbidity was today convened under the chairmanship Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Wani at DC office, here.

The meeting discusses key aspects of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP).District Tuberculosis Officer Anantnag and Kulgam, Dr. Syed Faheem through a PowerPoint presentation provided insights into the program's performance and various ongoing initiatives related to the NTEP.

The ADDC interacted with the patients and representatives from civil societies and non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) present at the meeting. Commending the efforts of the District Tuberculosis Officer and the NTEP staff, the ADDC underscored the valuable work they have been contributing to the program.

During the proceedings, constructive directions were passed to all stakeholders present, outlining strategic measures to bolster the effectiveness of the NTEP.The collaborative spirit exhibited during the meeting underlines the commitment of the local healthcare community, NGO’s, media representatives, and patients to combat TB co-morbidity.

The event concluded on a positive note, reflecting a shared dedication to overcoming the challenges posed by TB co-morbidity through collaborative efforts and strategic action.The meeting was attended by CMO Anantnag, MY Zagoo; Medical Superintendents and Block Medical officers of both Districts Anantnag and Kulgam including GMC Anantnag.
