As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and in continuation to organizing different programmes for celebrating the 77th Independence Day, Alok Kumar, Director Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) J&K carried forward the programme under 'Meri Maati, Meera Desh' by planting a sapling within the premises of Directorate of F&ES, Headquarters, Batamaloo, Srinagar. 

Soon after planting the sapling, a Tiranga Yatra was also held under the leadership of Director Fire & Emergency Services, J&K in which among other officers/officials, Dy. Director, F&ES Command Srinagar, Assistant Director, F&ES, Command Budgam, Medical Officer, Medical Unit, Srinagar, and Administrative Officer also participated with great enthusiasm.

On the occasion, all the Command Officers were directed to carry out the activities/ programmes of planting saplings in all their respective Command Office/ F&E Station premises throughout the UT.
