In the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup, the young Trident Stallions team showed a stellar performance and fought like warriors. Starting the cup with a defeat, the Trident Stallions team reached the semi-finals, but lost here to the Blasters in a very close fought match. 

Trident added 133/7 runs in 11 overs and in reply Blasters scored 134/5 runs in 11 overs. Due to rain, the match was played only for 11-11 overs.

In the match played today at IS Bindra Stadium, Blasters won the toss and decided to bowl first. Their decision was right in the beginning and 3 important batsmen of Trident could not cross the figure of 10. 

The team lost 3 wickets for 29 runs. Karteek Sharma scored runs from one end and was supported by Shahbaz Singh Sandhu from the other end. Both pulled Trident out of danger. Karteek Sharma scored 70 runs in 29 balls with the help of 5 fours and 6 sixes. 

At the same time, Shahbaz Singh added 43 runs in 19 balls with the help of 2 fours and 4 sixes. Because of both, the team scored 133/7 in 11 overs. Krish took 2 wickets.

In reply Trident did not give the Blasters a chance to score runs in the second innings. Even their top 3 batsmen could not cross the 10 runs mark. 

After this Sehaj played an unbeaten 35 off 21 balls and Kamaljit added 25 runs off 11 balls. Sukhdeep added 38 runs in 15 balls and overturned the match.

Sahil Khan took 2 wickets from Trident. Aryaman Singh, Harshdeep Singh and Shahbaz Singh got 1-1 wickets.
