Akshay Kumar played the role of Lord Krishna in the 2012 released superhit film ‘OMG’, a satirical comedy drama based on mythological and spiritual plot. Akshay perfectly played his part as Krishna who comes to land as a regular man riding a bike, performing stunts to help an atheist while showing him the right path through his wisdom to fight the scandalous Godmen. He will soon be seen as Lord Shiva in the film’s sequel, OMG 2 which is said to release on 11 August 2023.
The Big B, superstar Amitabh Bachchan played the role of almighty in the film God Tussi Great Ho, remake of Hollywood film Bruce Almighty. He started appearing as God to Salman Khan in the film when he blames God for everything wrong done in everyone’s life. His character as God in the film is shown quite differently as Amitabh Bachchan wears stylish formal white suit pants. He carried out his character flawlessly with elegance.
Prabhas played the role of Lord Rama in recently released film Adipurush which gave rise to a lot of controversies due to its immoral dialogues and scenes which hurt religious sentiments of people. People interpreted him more as a star than a God in the film. The film in whole was a failure in terms of impressing people.
Well many of you may not know and might find it surprising that the beautiful actress Katrina Kaif too has played the role of God in the film Hello based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel titled as One Night @ The Call Center. She did portray God but not in traditional God avatar clothes but a very modern yet well mannered one who desired people to believe in themselves.
Ajay Devgn played the role of Chitragupta in the film Thank God which starred Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role as well. His character name was changed from Chitragupta to CG due to the rising objections by the public after the release of the teaser. Still, the film did not do well at box-office and also received poor reviews from the critics.
Munna Bhai aka Sanjay Dutt played the role of the God of Death, Yamraj in his film Vaah Life Ho To Aisi. He impressed everyone with his performance and spontaneous one liners, comic timing and comedy punches and brought out his own style of Yamraj caracter.
The late veteran actor Rishi Kapoor played the role of a modern style God dressed entirely in white in the film Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. In the same film, Rani Mukerji plays the role of a fairy/angel, the messenger of God.
The beautiful actress played the role of Mata Sita in the film Adipurush. No character in the film was able to give justice to the roles they played due to poor presentation of the film, disrespectful dialogues and scenes. In the same film Devdatta Nage played the role of Bajrang whose character depiction was a major disaster in the film.
