Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW), a unit of Indian Railways, recently organised 2nd Interdepartmental Volleyball Tournament at the PLW Stadium. The tournament witnessed a competition among twelve teams from various departments of the organization, culminating in a final match played yesterday evening.
The final match showcased a clash between the Store and Civil departments, both of whom displayed remarkable sportsmanship and skill throughout the tournament. In this final match, the Store team emerged victorious, defeating the Civil department team in a closely contested match.
Shri Pramod Kumar, Principal Chief Administrative Officer of Patiala Locomotive Works, graced the event and had the honor of presenting the championship trophy. He handed over the trophy to Shri Dharminder, the Captain of the Store team, who received it alongwith his team members in the presence of all PHODs, HODs, Sr. Officers , Staff & their family members.
Expressing his delight at the successful conclusion of the tournament, Shri Pramod Kumar congratulated the Store team on their exceptional performance. He commended their dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship, which led to their triumph in the final match.
And also expressed that the tournament provided an opportunity for employees from different departments to engage in healthy competition and build strong bonds beyond their regular work environment. Patiala Locomotive Works Sports Association continues to promote and support sporting activities, recognizing their positive impact on employee morale, physical fitness, and overall well-being.
