AIF chairperson calls on Home Minister

The Awami Itehad Front (AIF) chairperson Rabia Baji on Saturday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and stressed upon him to enhance the schemes which would benefit youth of Jammu and Kashmir.Talking to GNS over phone from New Delhi, Rabia Baji said that she met Home Minister, Rajnath Singh this morning and discussed with him various issues related to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. During an hour long meeting, Rabia requested Home Minster to take effective steps for the betterment of the unemployed youth of the state.

“The agenda of the meeting was future of youth and skilled development programme by which their future becomes bright. I also asked Home Minister to take the measures by which Udhaan Scheme would be made effective throughout the valley,” she said, adding: “I stressed upon Rajnath Singh to upgrade sports infrastructure so that our sports loving youth take most advantage of it,”

In the meeting, Rabia Baji said, Kashmir issue was also discussed. She said Home Minister said the Centre was ready to hold talks with any Kashmiri leader.“I also urged him to take steps towards the betterment and development of Kashmiris,” she said. (GNS)
