Senior BJP leader Sukhwindar Singh Bindra had a special meeting with newly appointed Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar in Amritsar. Sukhwindar Bindra stated that Sunil Jakhar, a veteran and senior leader in Punjab, has served as a Lok Sabha MP from Gurdaspur and a three-time MLA from Abohar. The appointment of Sunil Jakhar as the new chief of Punjab BJP will make the party stronger. Sunil Jakhar is considered to be very close to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The BJP workers are also enthusiastic about Jakhar's appointment as the president. Sunil Jakhar will work tirelessly for the welfare of Punjab. Today, he received blessings from the Guru by paying homage at Sri Darbar Sahib. Bindra stated that the BJP will once again form the government at the center in the upcoming 2024 elections. He expressed gratitude to Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for Sunil Jakhar's appointment.
