Punjabi singer and actor Gurshabad's, album ‘Deewana 2’ was released today. The singer's soothing voice is gaining in popularity in the Punjabi entertainment industry. ‘Deewana 2’ compiles four songs. As per Gurshabad, this album is an inspiration drawn from his previous year’s superhit album ‘Deewana’. The album is produced by Openmic Studios, a music and film production company based at Chandigarh, that is doing significant work in the Punjabi music industry.
‘Deewana 2’ also features the glamorous Femina Miss India 2023 finalist Navpreet Kaur. Navpreet had come into limelight recently when she visited Shahrukh Khan’s house Mannat. Navpreet said, “It is another happy moment in my career as the album has been released.”
Yuvraj Tung and Ratanamol Singh, promoters of Openmic Studios said, "Producing 'Deewana 2' was a dream project for us at Openmic as Deewana album was much loved by the audiences. We have plans to record songs with prominent and leading artists of the industry and are coming up with a few Extended Playlists(EPs). Having released more than 30 songs , which have been hugely successful, plans are afoot to promote new artists and giving a chance to unrecognised talent."
Gurshabad said, “I feel blessed to have been born with a musical gift. After the overwhelming success of my previous album ‘Deewana’, I wanted to record a new album for my fans. People have given so much love to my work that I feel immense gratitude towards them. I hope the audience will give the same amount of love to ‘Deewana 2’ as well."
Yuvraj Tung, co-promoter of Openmic Studios, said, "'Deewana 2' has been unveiled and we now are planning to come up with short movies for OTT, we are focussing more on meaningful cinema. The scripting of a mainstream movie is on."
It is noteworthy that Gurshabad, always had a keen interest in music. His love for music and singing began at the tender age of five and he started learning Sikh devotional songs. By the age of 19, he kickstarted his journey as a stage performer and began performing at International shows. Gurshabad started off his journey as a singer in Pollywood alongside popular singer-actor Ammy Virk. He also released a song ‘Delhi De Bhulekhe’ to show his support to the farmers during the farmers’ protest against the farm laws.
It is also pertinent to mention that the promoters of Openmic Studios have been part of very successful movies like 'Bambukaat', 'Vekh Barataan Chaliyaan', 'Afsar' etc as producers.
