Expedite work of Bulk Drug Park in a time bound manner : Harshwardhan Chauhan

All concerned departments should work hard in materializing Bulk Drug Park proposed to be constructed in Una district of the State considering the decisions taken in the first High Powered Committee meeting. 

This was stated by the Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan while presiding over the second meeting of High Powered Committee of State Implementing Agency (SIA) of Bulk Drug Park (BDP) here today.

He emphasized to expedite the works in all departments of Bulk Drug Park on priority basis and time bound manner. He said that basic requirements like water, electricity, internal road infrastructure should be developed immediately. 

He stressed on long term solution for maintaining a continuous water supply to the park.Jal Shakti Vibhag was also directed for execution of water related works at the earliest. 

He said that for water sustainability to the park, 11.75 crore would be provided to Jal Shakti Vibhag for recharge and maintenance of underground water level of the area.

He directed to explore the possibilities of permanent power supply to the park from Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) and said that the matter has already been taken up with the authorities of the said board. 

He directed HP Transmission Corporation Limited and HP State Electricity Board to start building outer electrical infrastructure for Bulk Drug Park. Besides, start building internal road infrastructure for transportation of machinery required for the park, he said. He also asked to initiate tender process for building the administrative block of the park.

The Industries Minister declared two new Industrial Areas of approximately 40 bighas each at Jahu in Bhoranj Tehsil of district Hamirpur and Bhadrog in Ghumarwin Tehsil of district Bilaspur.

Earlier, Director Industries and MD-Cum-CEO of State Implementing Agency of Bulk Drug Park Rakesh Prajapati made a detailed presentation indicating recent development related to Bulk Drug Park.

Principal Secretary Industries R D Nazeem, Principal Secretary Finance Maneesh Garg, Secretary MPP & Power Rajeev Sharma, MD HPSEBL Harikesh Meena, MD HPPTCL Rugved Thakur, Special Secretary Industries, Kiran Bhadana, MD HPSIDC Rajeshwar Goel, Additional CEO Industries Tilak Raj Sharma and other senior officers of various departments were also present in the meeting.
