In order to review progress made in saturation of Aadhaar cards and availability and functioning of UIDAI Centres, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Viqar Ahmed Giri today chaired a meeting of District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee at DC Office Complex, here.

On the occasion, the ADC held a threadbare deliberation about a mechanism to be adopted for Aadhaar saturation in all age groups and mandatory biometric update of children in the district.During the meeting, it was informed that the district has achieved 100 percent saturation in Aadhaar above the age of 18 years of population.

The chair was also informed that a majority of the Aadhaar holders have not updated their Aadhaar and need to update their Aadhaar.During the meeting, strategy was discussed to ensure saturation of Aadhaar registration of 0-18 years.

ADC emphasised to organize Aadhar registration camps to achieve the saturation target in all age groups.The meeting was attended by Project Manager UIDAI, CEO, CMO, Post Master Kulgam, Lead Bank Manager and other Officers
