On day 3 of their tour to the district, Director (Law & Order), Internal Security-I Division, Union Ministry of home Affairs and Central Nodal Officer (CNO) for Jal Shakti Abhiyaan (JSA), Catch the Rain (CTR), Nishtha Tiwari, along with Scientist Central Ground Water, Chandreyee De, today conducted an exhaustive tour of Sub Division Gool.

During the visit, CNO, Scientist CGW and members of Jal Shakti Abhiyan interacted with the PRI members and took stock of their issues and concerns.They inspected various ongoing development projects being executed under Jal Jeevan Mission besides inspecting Amrit Sarovars of Rural Development department in the sub division.

During the interaction with PRIs and locals, CNO and Scientist CGW emphasized the need and importance of water conservation, water harvesting and improvement in infrastructure for water storage and distribution. They asked the PRIs to plan GPDP, MGNREGA and other development schemes for creation of infrastructure required for water conservation and rain water harvesting in the district.

They asked them to understand the need and significance for water conservation and its judicious use, protection of water sources and rain water harvesting to ensure safe and sufficient water availability for our future generations.

CNO was accompanied by SDM Gool, Tanveer-Ul-Majid, members of Jal Shakti Abhiyan besides DFO, ACD, CHO, Executive Engineer, JSD and other concerned engineers and officials.BDC Chairperson Gool, Shkeela Begum, officers from Jal Shakti Department and other officers and officials besides PRI members were present on the occasion.
