Salad making, Musical Chair, tug of war and modelling contests were organized at a function organized in the Uma Rana Public School, Sanghol, to mark Mother’s Day. It was a fun filled day for the mothers as they displayed their talent in these contests. A large number of mothers participated in this event with great enthusiasm.
The happy and excited mothers took part in the various games and competitions like salad making, musical chair game and modelling competition. Children were very happy to see the enthusiasm of mothers participating in different competitions.
The main idea was to highlight the importance of mother in the life of a child and to make our mothers feel special. To make the celebration more special, mothers of students were invited to the school to be a part of the colourful celebrations. The welcome speech was given by the principal Shallu Sharma of the school.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, said the main idea was to highlight the importance of mother in the life of a child and to make our mothers feel special. To make the celebration more special, mothers of students were invited to the school to be a part of the colourful celebrations.
Lord Daljit Rana, chairman of Cordia group and Madam Urmil Verma (Trustee) complimented the school management for successfully organising the programme and appreciated the initiatives and dedication of the teachers.In Modelling there were three rounds and the final round was a question round.
The best mother was awarded a medal. In salad making contests mothers made a salad plate within one minute only.Lemon Race and Tug of War were the outdoor activities organized wherein the winners were awarded medals by the school.
Chief Guest Parveen Rana, Vice-Chairperson of the Zila Prashad, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Guest of Honor Avinaash Kumari, wife of Rajesh Kumar, Sarpanch of village Sanghol, Amrijeet Kaur ex block samiti member distributed medals among the winners.
