The much anticipated Punjabi film Jodi which was to release today on 5 May 2023 and for which the fans were eagerly waiting has not been released due to some legal troubles. As we all know that the court has issued summon to the team of Jodi including Gurmail Kaur, widow of late singer Amar Singh Chamkila as it was said that the film Jodi was also made on the life on Amar Singh Chamkila and Bibi Amarjot Chamkila.

The court stayed the release of the film on 3 May 2023 and now the fans are quite upset because the film has not been released today. Diljit Dosanjh took to his Instagram Stories to apologise to his fans who were waiting for the release. He said that all the team has worked very hard for the film but due to some reasons the film has not been able to make it up to release in India today and then apologised to fans who were waiting for Jodi.

The advance bookings were still open for the film Jodi despite the court orders which made the fans think that the film is still going to release but Diljit’s story has now cleared everything and it is 100% sure now that the film is not going to be out in the theatres till the next announcement.
The order passed by the court of civil judge Karandeep Kaur to issue summons to the team after hearing the petition, the next hearing is scheduled to be held on 8 May 2023 after which only we will get to know about the updates of the release. Now, all eyes are on the further updates as the fans cannot wait to watch the film on the big screens.
