Today, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Mohali held a meeting with newly enrolled Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of district Mohali.  This meeting was organised in the office of its Secretary situated at District Courts Complex, Phase 3-B1, Mohali.  In this meeting, Tarntaran Singh Bindra, Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Mohali apprised PLVs about their duties and the method to perform these duties.  All schemes of Punjab Legal Services Authority were brought to the notice of PLVs with an effort that these schemes will be brought to the notice of public, for whom these have been crafted by the legislation.  

He made available relevant literature to them so that they may spread awareness among masses, more effectively.  A couple of old PLVs were also called in the meeting so that they may share their experience with newly ones.  All PLVs showed very keen interest in carrying the torch of Punjab Legal Services Authority to lighten the needy persons about their rights.  These PLVs were request to hold seminars at conspicuous places to attract more and more public.  They were also requested to make public aware about Toll Free Help Line Number 1968 of Punjab Legal Services Authority which is available 24X7 and can be dialed at the time of necessity.
