World Earth Day was today celebrated by NSS, NCC and Eco-club at Government Degree College Kishtwar under the supervision of Principal of the college, Dr Jyoti Parihar. On the occasion, a plantation drive was conducted on the college campus. As many as 20 plants of different species were planted by the students and the staff.
Students also made posters to spread awareness regarding need and ways to protect the Earth followed by a cleanliness drive.Prof. Ather Hussain, Prof. Tariq Tamkeen, Prof. Romana Akhter, Prof. Randeep, Prof. Madhav Ram, Prof. Sonika Sen (NSS PO), Prof. Madhu Bala (ANO) and Dr. Sehrish Gazal (Convenor Eco-club) besides a large number of students participated in the programme.
