Sonakshi Sinha after entertaining the audiences on the mainstream media is now all set to impress the digital viewers with her upcoming OTT debut series titled ‘Dahaad’. The series has already made noises by becoming the first Indian series to be premiered at The Berlinale International Film Festival and now it is ready to set fire through its premiere on OTT platform as the series has finally got its release date.
Prime Video Official Twitter account shared the news to a post that the highly anticipated series ‘Dahaad’ of Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Verma will be streamed on Amazon Prime from 12 May 2023. The Post read as, “only a powerful roar can uncover the truth #DahaadOnPrime, New Series, May 12”
Sonakshi Sinha will be playing the role of a cop in the 8 parts crime drama series Dahaad. The story follows the investigation to catch a serial killer who is behind the murder of several women killed mysteriously in public bathrooms which first appeared to be suicides. Anjali Bhatti, the sub inspector played by Sonakshi, is handled the case who tries hard to solve the mystery and collects and joins every piece of evidence to catch the killer.
The series is directed by Reema Kagti with Ruchika Oberoi and Zoya Akhtar produced under Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby. The series stars Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah in the lead. It is slated to release on Prime Video on 12 May 2023.
