The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan on Saturday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the status of the Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme (APDP) at mini secretariat, here.
The meeting was attended by District Nodal Officer Coordination Mohd Ashraf Hakak who is also holding charge of Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Muzaffar Ahmad and BDOs of various blocks.
ADDC on the occasion said that the programme is aimed at improving the performance of areas on various development parameters.He said the activities under APDP shall be monitored by BDOs at Block Level and concerned Nodal Officers at District Level.
While reviewing the progress made under the programme the meeting discussed threadbare various indicators of the programme.The ADDC said that the administration is committed to take all necessary measures to achieve the programme's objectives.
He stressed on the importance of converging the efforts of various stakeholders to achieve the desired outcomes of inclusive and sustainable development and to ensure benefits reach the grass roots level.
He also stressed on the importance of strengthening the capacity of panchayats to plan, implement, and monitor development programmes.
