Jalandhar , 10 Apr 2023

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is campaigning in full swing for Jalandhar by-election and on Monday, AAP Punjab President CM Bhagwant Mann addressed an election rally at Kartarpur where he urged the people of Jalandhar to support and vote for AAP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku.

Addressing a large public gathering here Bhagwant Mann said that AAP gave tickets to the people of common background in assembly elections and the people of Punjab trusted us and elected our candidates over dynast politicians.

He said that because of that huge mandate today the Punjab government has given 28,000 jobs to youth, regularised thousands of temporary employees, gave interpreted electricity to farmers, more than 80% of households are getting zero electricity bills and it is the first time in history of the state, the government has released the complete subsidy of a year worth Rs 20,200 crore of PSPCL.

Mann said that today, Akali and Congress leaders who cannot digest their rejection from the hands of the people of Punjab, are levelling allegations against me, using abusive language, but I pay no attention to them as I have the support of 3 crore Punjabis with me.

He added that the statements of dynast politicians just proof that they cannot comprehend the simple fact that people elected common candidates as their representatives.Mann said that today the Aam Aadmi Party has its government in two states, 2 MPs in Goa, 5 MPs in Gujarat and 10 Rajya sabha MPs but soon we'll reach 130 crore people of our country.

Before the people of Sangrur had the honour of sending a pro-people voice to parliament this time it's Jalandhar's turn to elect an honest, pro-people and pro-Punjab MP.Mann said that the revolution in the sectors of education and health began from day one of AAP government and we opened 500+ mohalla clinics where more than 21 lac people got free treatment.

He said that the losses that farmers are facing today due to untimely rain and hailstorm will be compensated by his government and compensation money will reach farmers before girdawari too. Mann said that on Baisakhi he will hand over the cheques to the farmers of Abohar. He said, we are like you and with you.

Mann said that traditional party leaders are saying that we lack experience but what they don't know is people have had enough with their experience of looting Punjab. He added that his government implemented One MLA - One pension scheme to save taxpayers' money and to spend it on the youth of our state.

He mentioned that the Punjab government has closed 8 toll plazas so far and in upcoming days one more will be closed for good. 50 Government sand mines are functional in the state to curb sand mafia and people are getting sand without hassle at the rate of 5.50 Rs per cubic feet.

Government schools are being reformed and soon UPSC coaching centres will be opened so that our children can get good education and become officers. Mann said that in AAP government jobs are given purely on the basis of merit.

He said that every year 2100 jobs will be given in the police department where they'll notify about these vacancies in January, exam will be held in May-June, result in July-August, physics test in October and joining letters will be given in November.

He said that during summer the office timings of all government offices will be from 7:30 to 2:00 because that'll save electricity and people will be able to spend more time with their children.

Mann said, people pressed 'Jhadoo' button and made me capable of pressing buttons for the development everyday. When I was in Jalandhar last time I inaugurated a milk plant unit, a school and a sewerage system all because you (people) voted for us. He urged the public to vote for AAP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku in upcoming Jalandhar by-election.

Addressing the gathering, AAP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku thanked the party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Mann for fielding him as a candidate and said that he'll always raise his voice for the common people. He said that

CM Bhagwant Mann is the most hard working and dedicated CM of Punjab, he's working diligently for Punjab and Punjabis so the people of Jalandhar will definitely vote for AAP. He said that Congress didn't give post matric scholarship from 2017-19 and the promise to waive the debt of farmers was not fulfilled either. But, Mann government is taking pro-people decisions everyday and implementing them on the grass root level.

Along with CM Mann and Sushil Rinku, AAP's local leadership including AAP Punjab general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat, Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa, MLA Balkar Singh, MLA Raman Arora, MLA Sheetal Angural, MLA Inderjeet Kaur Maan, Ratan Singh Kakkarkala, Surinder Singh Sodhi and Prem were also present in this rally.
