Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain urged people to take precautions in connection with Covid-19. During the two-day mock drill started today regarding with Covid, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized on preventing the spread of the Covid virus and protecting the people completely from this disease.
While presiding over a meeting at the District Administration Complex to review the arrangements regarding Covid, she said that district administration prepare to deal with this disease. The Deputy Commissioner has also asked people to take precautions in all educational institutions, government and private offices and indoor and outdoor gatherings, malls, public places etc. and to wear masks in medical places.
She said that the situation in the district is completely normal and asked people not to panic.Ms. Aashika Jain asked the officials of the health department to inspect the medical oxygen plant and get their services etc. She said that the hospitals have beds to tackle any problem.
She asked the officials of the health department if any person shows symptoms of Corona than ensure the Covid test. The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to people to get RTPCR test instead of RAT in case of any doubt. She directed the health officials to ensure full compliance of social distancing, not spitting in public places and use of other precautions in connection with Covid-19.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the authorities to increase testing of patients suffering from cold, flu, illness, respiratory problems and infections.On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Ms. Amaninder Kaur Brar, Assistant Commissioner (Complaints) Mr. Inderpal, district epidemiologist Dr. Harman Kaur and Dr. Grish Dogra were present in the meeting.
